Easter Indulgence and how to manage you weight goals.

Easter Indulgence and how to manage you weight goals.
Easter is almost here! A long weekend and some family time but also a time when we can certainly overindulge; It can take all of 60sec to eat 120g chocolate easter egg and 80min of hard gym work to work it off.  So when you have weight and fitness goals, here are some tips for how to manage.

BE A STEP AHEAD AND START THE DAY WELL

A good breakfast with protein, fibre and energy, will stop you reaching out for some choc soon after waking up.  This kind of breakfast is important any time of year, the breakfast set up helps control those sneaky cravings.

STOCK THE FRIDGE AND PANTRY WITH HEALTHY SNACKS – “a shelf for yourself”

Making some tasty, yummy snacks can be really key to making the festive season easier to control. Let’s face it, we eat more at this time if year, so why not go with it. Planning for it will make it all the easier. The choc cake that tastes like a cake, smells like a cake and is actually goof for you….. well sounds fabulous and can be a real life saver. DON'T DEPRIVE YOURSELF BUT SET A LIMIT

investing and enjoying a chocolate egg or chocolate bunny is fine! Completely avoiding all chocolate may bite you in the backside at some stage. A good goal is to set a limit or simply have an enjoy your ideal chocolate and avoid any more.

PLAN YOUR EXERCISE

exercise will only make everything feel better.  Planning a fun session with a friend or the family means you’re less likely to hit the snooze button and roll over! Go for a walk or run with a friend or get active with the whole family by kicking a footy in the backyard or park.

EAT DARK CHOCOLATE

The darker the chocolate, the lesser the sugar and all the more antioxidants.  The higher the percentage of cocoa, the less likely you are to over-indulge due to the less-sweet taste and the more serotonin you will receive, aka the happy hormone.

Happy Easter!
